WORKPLACE INVESTIGATIONS

Many employers do not have the time or the human resource expertise to deal with internal conflicts and may prefer to have a neutral third party work on these matters. We are prepared to:

• Guide, conduct, or assist with investigations of internal conflict issues
• Identify strategies and procedures for responding to internal complaints.
• Provide individual training and/or guidance for a manager responsible for the investigation and assist with the analysis.

Investigations will vary greatly depending on the nature of the issue or complaint and may include any or all of the following elements:

• Interview(s) with the individual raising the issue
• Interview(s) with key management personnel and any individuals identified in the complaint
• Interviews with coworkers or others who have information related to the issue
• Review of any written information related to the issue
• Review of relevant policies/procedures
• Analysis of findings
• Documentation of the issue and the response
• Recommendations for resolving the issue
• Follow-up interviews to ensure the effectiveness of the response, if appropriate.

Initial information regarding the complaint and the workplace culture will determine the investigation plan. The plan will be developed to ensure the greatest time and cost effectiveness and the least disruption to your workplace.

We have many years of experience working with various organizations investigating and responding to employee complaints, working with employers to resolve issues and disputes, and conducting training on EEO, harassment, and discrimination matters for all levels of employees and management.
